Office Inspiration

June 13th, 2012

I don’t know about you, but I love seeing the work spaces of creative types. It’s always fun to get a glimpse inside the place where others get inspired and do their work, don’t you think?

At the moment, I’m finishing up some decorating details on the Rue San Francisco office so I’ve been on the look out for inspiration.  When I came across Erin Gate’s Boston studio on The Everygirl, it quickly became my current obsession.

It’s fuss free and the perfect mix of function (hello organization) and style (I need that tufted chair). What are your requirements for the perfect workspace? I’d love to hear!

i swooned over this office, too. my grandma has one of those chairs in her spare room. i always felt like a princess in it (hers is covered in a deep pink velvet)…so fun to see the pair in erin’s space!

Hi Crystal,

Great photos. For an office I like it to be neat and organized with natural light, windows that open so you can get some great fresh air and hear the hustle and bustle of the streets. It`s also got to look fresh and vibrant, some great splashes of colour, art and some fun little desk accessories to fiddle with while on the phone and an M&M`s dispenser & candy container don`t hurt either!

Storage and lots and lots of white space are my office space necessities. Need to be able to hide everything away to completely open my mind up to new ideas and creations. :)
